XXVIII Võru Folklore Festival taking place on Jul 8 2023! 

Võru folklore festival is the oldest and biggest annual folk dance festival in Estonia. This international event is looking to promote and share the folklore and traditions of different nations to strengthen the friendship and the identity of each country.

Since 1995, hundreds of dancers, musicians and singers from Estonia and all over the world are gathering to Võru to offer unique opportunity to grasp the folk tradition of different countries. The festival has about 10, 000 visitors every year, which is almost equal to the population of Võru city´s population of 12, 000.

Võru Folklore Festival belongs to CIOFF ® (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts) calendar.

The festival is supported by the Estonian Ministry of Culture through the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and also by the City of Võru and various other sponsors.
